Company History

Established in 2002, Horton Landscaping was formed to work with the local parish council to help maintain the village of Horton in Ribblesdale. The company soon found that they were being asked to work for other local villages in the area and soon the business started to grow.

The first major investment of the company was the first gritter, used to provide winter maintenance cover for the local quarries, this has now lead to Horton Landscaping Ltd having a fleet of salt spreaders that are used all over North Yorkshire.

Horton Landscaping Ltd then started to work for local schools and hotels and this saw a change in direction for the company, with a more grounds maintenance contracts we had to start employing more staff and increase the machinery and vehicles.

The company currently employs 2 office staff and 5 permanent grounds maintenance staff with 2 seasonal operatives the company can call upon. With further developments in the pipeline, the company is rapidly establishing itself as a leader in its field.

We are SAFEcontractor and Guild of Master Craftsmen approved.
